When he started to grow tired of the fact that PowerPoint graphics and text are all 'hard edge' he started to introduce out-of-focus images onto his slides. However, he found it tedious to create the blurred effects with external image editors and so the idea for his Opazity add-in was born.
Because using Opazity is so easy, Steve and other users soon started to discover new effects they could make with the blurred images. Many of these are demonstrated in short videos on the Opazity website. Steve says he has re-discovered a creative streak that has been fairly dormant since he dropped out of art college in 1970.
Steve Hards currently lives in London, England, but hopes to move soon to the Basque Country -- his wife's birthplace.
