- Hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
- PowerPoint 2007 - On the Slide Show tab of the ribbon click on the slide show option -- either From Beginning or From Current Slide
- PowerPoint 2003 (and earlier) - Choose Slide Show > View Show from the menu.
Alternatively, you may click on the slide show icon in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
- Note - Holding the Ctrl key and clicking the F5 key does not work in this scenario to view the slide show.
- PowerPoint 2007 - On the Slide Show tab of the ribbon click on the slide show option -- either From Beginning or From Current Slide
- The slide show view should appear in the upper left corner, showing the slide show at a quarter of the size of your screen.
- Click on the quarter screen slide to progress through the show just as if it was in full screen.
- Press the Esc button to end the show at any time.
Continue to Work on Your Presentation
Click on your working slide to continue editing your presentation. The quarter screen slide view will remain open but minimized, while you continue to work on your presentation (as long as you have not ended the show). To show the quarter screen slide show again, simply click on the slide show icon in the task bar.
