SmartDraw 2008 - Software Review

This software advertises itself as "The World's Most Popular Business Graphics Software". This is a believable statement because it is so vast and just so easy to use. Don't be fooled though, that this graphics program is just for business. Want a new kitchen? Use this program to design a floor plan for your home and ... while you are at it, plan out the landscaping at the same time. As a teacher, I can see a multitude of uses for this software in the classroom. Most students are visual learners and this software will make the learning experience (and the teaching experience) that much easier. Everything from math worksheets, to astronomy charts, to flow charts to retail design is there for you to create easily.

True enough, but if you are like me and use the software only a few times a year, don’t be suprised a year later when you have to toss another 100.00 at them for an ugrade because your “old” software will not open the newer files your buddy just sent you.
After having paid and upgraded, you can now save as backward compatable files for your “old” software, LOL, what a bunch of scammers!
If your business requires flow charts etc, then this is just the ticket. Visio is complete junk compared to Smart Draw.
As far as ethics? If you drop something on the floor near a Smart Draw cubicle, leave it there, keep and eye on your rear view mirrors.
