By , About.com Guide

Definition: The summary slide in PowerPoint creates one new slide with a list of all the titles of the slides in the presentation. The slide is placed in front of the first slide in the selection of slides you chose for the list.

Summary slides are great to use as a Menu listing for Web Style presentations that may be used at a kiosk, or as a quick method to create an Agenda as a handout.

Also Known As: Agenda slide, Menu slide
Examples:

Mary used the Summary Slide feature in PowerPoint to create a Menu page for her presentation. This presentation will be used in an unattended kiosk where viewers can navigate the screen like a web page in order to read about areas of particular interest to them.
