Scenario

You want to create a presentation in a hurry using the color scheme and formatting of another presentation, such as your company’s own design template complete with company colors and logo. The company design template may or may not have been added to the design templates within PowerPoint on your computer, or it may have been edited from the original PowerPoint design template.

If you have an existing PowerPoint presentation that uses the design template you want, it is a simple process to copy this design, complete with fonts, colors and graphics, to a new presentation.

Steps

  1. Open a presentation containing the design template that you wish to use in your new presentation.

  2. Open the new presentation in progress or a brand new presentation, so that you now have two open presentations.

Note – It is much faster to do this copy process if you have not yet started your presentation. Copying the color scheme over will apply to all new slides if the presentation is brand new. If the presentation has several slides already created, you will have to apply the color scheme to each slide.
