Set the Hyperlink

  1. In the Edit Hyperlink dialog box, make sure that the option Place in This Document is selected on the left side of the dialog box.

  2. Scroll to select the correct story map slide to link to. A slide preview will show on the right side of the dialog box.

  3. Click OK to create the hyperlink.

  4. Repeat this process for each topic on the Story Map Legend slide.

Test the Story Map

Once all hyperlinks have been created, it is time to test your story map.

  1. Choose Slide Show > View Show from the main menu, or press the F5 key instead.

  2. Click the mouse to move from the Title slide to the Story Map Legend slide.

  3. Click each of the story map headings to check that the slide changes to the correct part of the story map.

  4. Test the action buttons at the bottom of each slide. The Home action button should return you to the Story Map Legend slide. The Forward action button should send you to the next slide in the story map.

  5. Once you have finished watching the slide show, press the Esc key on the keyboard to exit and return to the design view.
