Pattern Backgrounds are Not the Best Choice on PowerPoint Slides
I am reminded of the comment that goes something like ... "Just because you can do something does not mean that you should." A case in point is using a pattern as a PowerPoint slide background.
The option to use a pattern for a background is certainly available in PowerPoint. However, in my opinion this should be your last choice and only then use a pattern that is as subtle as possible, so as not to distract the audience from your message.
Add a Pattern Background to Your Slides
- With the Fill section chosen, click on Pattern fill
- Click on the Foreground Color: button to choose a color.
- Click on the Background Color: button to choose a color.
- Click on various pattern options to see the effect on your slide.
- When you have made your final choice, click Close to apply to this one slide or click Apply to All.
