If you did not take the jump to PowerPoint 2007 and are now using PowerPoint 2010, you might be hunting around for the Help feature.
In PowerPoint 2003 and earlier versions it was quite easy to get help if you were stumped on a particular aspect of PowerPoint. You just clicked the Help menu and made a selection. Fast forward to PowerPoint 2010 and that old adage "hide in plain sight" is the key.
The Help button is a tiny "question mark" icon in the top right corner of the program window -- just below the X that you generally use to close the program. Simply click on the question mark button and a Help window opens. An alternative, for those of you who prefer keyboard shortcuts, is to press the F1 key.
For future reference, when in doubt, press the F1 key on the keyboard. I can't think of a single program where the F1 key is not used to access the Help feature in the program.
