The PowerPoint 2007 properties are located in the drop down list of options from the Office button.
- Click on the Office button, at the top left of the window.
- Select Prepare > Properties.
The PowerPoint 2007 properties will appear just above the active slide in a new or the current presentation.
Note - It is optional to fill in any of these property text boxes. Some may be pre-filled.
PowerPoint 2007 Properties
- Author - The author of the presentation will be shown. If this is a new presentation, it will contain the name of the person who is listed as the "owner" of the computer you are using. The name can be changed by entering new text into the text box.
- Title
If the document has already been saved, the title of the first slide may already be entered in this text box. If the presentation was saved prior to entering a title, the presentation title may possibly be entered as "Slide 1". You have the option to change this title at any time.
If this is a brand new presentation the text box will be blank, until it is saved. Once saved, the first slide title will be entered here. You have the option to change this title at any time. - Subject - Enter a subject for this presentation if desired.
- Keywords - For fast searching to find this presentation at a later time, you may wish to enter some keywords here.
- Category - You may assign a category for this presentation such as "third quarter sales".
- Status - Assign a status for this presentation such as draft or under review.
- Comments - Enter any pertinent information that might be helpful with regard to this presentation, such as notes for another presenter.
