Related - PowerPoint 2003 - Copy Design Template to Another Presentation
Scenario
You want to create a presentation in a hurry using the color scheme and formatting of another presentation. Your company colors are easily identifiable and used in the design theme of all company PowerPoint presentations. The company design theme may or may not have been added to the design themes within PowerPoint on your computer, or it may have been edited from the original PowerPoint design theme.
Rather than recreate the wheel, or locate the specific design theme in PowerPoint, it is sometimes quicker to copy the design theme of a current presentation to a new presentation. This way you can copy the complete color scheme that may have been altered from the original design theme in PowerPoint.
Steps
- Open a presentation containing the design theme that you wish to copy to your new presentation.
- Open the new presentation in progress, or a brand new presentation, so there are now two open presentations.
Note It is much faster to do this copy process if you have not yet started your new presentation. Copying the color scheme over will apply to all new slides if the presentation is brand new. If the presentation has several slides already created, you will have to apply the color scheme to each slide individually.
