Free family tree charts to download. If you would like to start tracing your family's roots, PowerPoint has the tools to make it easy to create a family tree chart of all the members in your family. You can make it as simple or as complicated as you want. Simply add more pages to extend the family tree to more generations.
1. Create a Detailed Family Tree Chart Using PowerPoint
Use PowerPoint 2007 SmartArt graphics or the Organization Chart in earlier versions of PowerPoint to create a family tree chart. Add as much information as you want to your immediate family tree and branch out to add more relatives to your family tree by adding new pages. If you just want to dive right in, you can download the free family tree chart template that I have created (last page of each tutorial) and simply add your own information.
2. Video - Create a PowerPoint Family Tree Chart
This short video shows the steps on how to create a family tree chart using PowerPoint 2003. Although this video uses PowerPoint 2003 as the tool, the steps are only slightly different in PowerPoint 2007. Refer to the tutorial above for detailed steps for creating your family tree chart using PowerPoint 2007.3. Family Tree Charts in the Classroom
