Shift + Enter - Known as a soft return. This is useful to force a line break, which causes a new line without a bullet. In PowerPoint, when you are writing bulleted text entries and press the Enter key alone, a new bullet appears.

Use the Shift key to select text

Select a single letter, a whole word, or a line of text using the Shift key in combination with other keys.

Using Ctrl + Shift + the Home or End keys allow you to select text from the cursor to the beginning or end of the document.

Shift + left arrow - Selects the previous letter
Shift + right arrow - Selects the next letter
Shift + Home - Selects text from the cursor to start of the current line
Shift + End - Selects text from cursor to end of the current line
Shift + Ctrl + Home - Selects all text from the cursor to the beginning of the active text box
Shift + Ctrl + End - Selects all text from the cursor to the end of the active text box
