- Scanner/Camera Option
- Make sure your scanner or camera is connected to your computer and is turned on.
- Click the Scanner/Camera button
- Choose the device containing the pictures from the drop down arrow (either your camera or your scanner)
- Camera
- Click the Insert Custom button.
- Select the photos you wish to insert.
- Click the Get Pictures button.
- Scanner
- Click on the Insert Custom button.
- The scanner program associated with your scanner will start to scan the photo.
- Select the portion of the scanned photo you wish to be included in your digital photo album.
- Camera
- Choose the resolution quality of the pictures.
- Check the option to Add Pictures to Clip Organizer if desired.

Note - It is not my recommendation to use the Camera/Scanner method for adding photos to your digital photo album. Most likely, when taking the pictures or the scans, you have used a high resolution in order to get clear, crisp photos. In that case, this increases the file size of the photos greatly, and in turn, increases the file size of the PowerPoint presentation.
For this reason, you are much wiser to optimize your photos first, before inserting them into your digital photo album.
