The Slide Design task pane now shows you the available color schemes that can be applied to your template.

As with design templates, usually only one color scheme is applied to a presentation to give it a unified look. To apply a color scheme to the entire presentation simply click on the scheme you want to use.

It is possible, however, to apply a new color scheme to only a portion of a slide show. You might do this if you need to emphasize a certain section of the presentation. To do this,

  • In the Outline / Slides pane on the left of the screen, select the specific slides that will be changed.
  • Move your mouse pointer over the new color scheme in the Slide Design task pane. A drop down arrow appears on the right side of the color scheme.
  • Click on the down arrow and choose the option to Apply to selected slides.
