Add Information for the PowerPoint Text Email Link
Once the Insert Hyperlink dialog box appears, you will fill in the necessary information to appear on the email.
- In the column under Link to: click on E-mail Address.
- In the remainder of text boxes, enter the following data.
- The Text to display: - If it is not already entered, type the text that will be the hyperlink on the slide.
- E-mail address: - As you begin to type the email address, you will note that the text mailto: appears in front of the email address. This is the code that PowerPoint uses to indicate to the program that this is an email link. Leave this text intact.
- Subject: - It is always a good idea to fill in this information. This will make it easy for you -- the presenter -- to know that this email came to you as a result of a specific presentation.
- Recently used e-mail addresses: - If you have created any email hyperlinks prior to this presentation, those email addresses will appear here in a list. You can simply click on one of the addresses listed to save yourself typing that information.
- Click OK.
