Method One: Copy and Paste PowerPoint Slides

  1. Right click on the thumbnail slide to be copied, in the Slides/Outline task pane of the source presentation.

  2. Choose Copy from the shortcut menu that appears.

  3. In the destination presentation, right click in a blank area of the Slides/Outline task pane, where you wish to place the copied slide. This can be anywhere in the sequence of slides in the presentation.
    • Paste Option 1 - Use Destination Theme
This choice will apply the design theme of the destination presentation to the slide. (However, because a new design theme is being applied, objects on the slide may be in different locations than on the original slide. You may need to manually adjust some objects on the slide so that they conform to your new presentation.)

    • Paste Option 2 - Keep Source Formatting
This choice will paste the slide exactly as it was in the source presentation.

    • Paste Option 3 - Picture
This choice will not create a new slide, but will place a picture of the copied slide onto the slide directly above the location in the slides/outline pane that you chose to paste a new slide. You need to also note that this picture is not editable on the new slide. Any changes must be made on the original slide and then copied once again. This option is the least used by presenters, but does have its uses.
