Select a Hidden Object on a PowerPoint Slide

The scenario:
You have a fabulous slide, with stacked objects which are timed to show at just the right moment. However, now you need to edit one of the objects that are hidden on the working slide. You know how to quickly select that hidden object, but do not want to move it out of place for editing, just in case you can't get it back to the exact location once editing is complete. So what is the easy fix?

  1. Make sure there are no objects selected on the slide. Either click outside the slide area (or you can press the Esc key to deselect all objects).

  2. Press the Tab key on the keyboard repeatedly, to cycle through all of the objects on the slide. Stop when you have selected the object you want to edit.

Note - You won't see the actual object, just the outline, but the size should probably indicate this is the correct object. Otherwise, use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the hidden object into view to verify.
