Insert Music Files into the PowerPoint 2010 Presentation
Important Note - In order for music to be embedded into the presentation, the music file must be in WAV format. WAV is one of many different music file types, but is the only one that can be embedded into PowerPoint presentations.
This article, written about sound problems in PowerPoint will show you how to "trick" PowerPoint into seeing an MP3 file as a WAV file. Refer to Step 2 in the article for how to go about this.
- Click on the Insert tab of the ribbon.
- Click the Audio button at the right end of the ribbon and select Audio from File....
- Locate the music file in WAV format on your computer and insert it onto the slide.
- Note that the music icon will be placed in the center of the slide.
