Add a New Text Box to Any Slide in OpenOffice Impress

Add new text boxes anywhere on an OpenOffice Impress slide, if the standard slide layouts do not suit your needs.

Use the Text button (looks like a capital letter T) on the Drawing toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Click and drag a text box placeholder on the slide.

The text box will take on the default formatting of the design template. You can easily change the font size, color and style to suit your needs.

Tip - If the Drawing toolbar is not visible on your screen, choose View > Toolbars from the menu, and make sure that there is a check mark beside Drawing.
