What is the Difference between an Animation and a Transition?

Animations are the movements applied to the objects on a slide(s) in Open Office Impress. The motion on the slide itself is applied by using a transition. Both animations and transitions can be applied to any slide in your presentation.

To add an animation to your slide, choose Slide Show > Custom Animation... from the menu, to open the Custom Animation task pane.
