Set Sound Timings

Often it is appropriate for the sound or narration to begin at a specific time during the presentation of that particular slide. PowerPoint timing options allow you to set a time delay on each specific sound, if you wish.

Steps

  1. Right-click on the sound icon located on the slide. Choose Custom Animations... from the shortcut menu, to access the Custom Animation task pane if it is not already showing on the right side of your screen.

  2. In the list of animations shown in the Custom Animation task pane, click on the drop-down arrow next to the sound object in the list. This will reveal a shortcut menu. Choose Timings... from the menu.
