Play a CD Audio Track

You can choose to play any CD audio track during a PowerPoint slide show. The CD audio track can start when the slide appears or be delayed by setting a timing onto the sound icon. You can play the whole CD audio track or just a portion.

Steps

  • Choose Insert > Movies and Sounds > Play CD Audio Track...
CD Audio Track Options
  1. Clip Selection
    • Choose which track or tracks to be played by selecting the starting track and the ending track. (See next page for further options).

  2. Play Options
    • If you wish to keep playing the CD audio track over and over until the slide show is complete, then check the option to Loop until stopped. Another Play Option is the ability to adjust the volume for this sound.

  3. Display Options
    • Unless you have chosen to start the sound when the icon is clicked, you will probably want to hide the sound icon on the slide. Check this option.

  4. Click OK when you have made all your choices. The CD icon will appear in the center of the slide.
