Attach Animation Timings

Attaching timings to animated objects allows your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation to run on its own.

Why would you apply timings to the animation effects?

  • When you are presenting your topic alone, you will not distract your audience by operating the computer at the same time.

  • Presentations that advertise your business can run unattended in a kiosk for passers-by to watch, while you are busy with other customers.
Steps
  1. Right-click on the effect in the list shown in the Custom Animation task pane on the right side of the screen

  2. Choose Timing... from the menu.
Tip - If you wish to apply the same timing to several effects, hold the Shift key while you click on the different effects in the list. This will select all of those effects, so that you will only have to apply the timing once, rather than repeating the process several times.
