Publish the Web Site
When you have made all the selections in the Web Options dialog box, click on the Publish button. This will open your new Web site in your default browser.
Note - I was unsuccessful in viewing my PowerPoint Web site in Firefox, which is my default browser. This might also be the case in other Web browsers, since PowerPoint is a product of Microsoft, as is Internet Explorer. The Web site looked just fine in Internet Explorer.
Now it is time to test your new Web site. Click on the links on the Home page and check that they go to the correct pages. You should be able to navigate back to the Home page by using the links you created in the Navigation Bar on the left side of each page.
Notes
- If you saved the presentation as a Single File Web Page there will be just the one file to upload.
- If you saved the presentation as a Web Page you will also need to upload the corresponding folder that contains all the components of your presentation, such as clip art, photos or charts.
- To view your Web site at a later time, Choose File > Open in Internet Explorer and use the Browse button to locate your Web page file on your computer.
