Add a Text Box to the First Slide

Use the Drawing Toolbar

  1. Using the Drawing toolbar at the bottom of the screen, click on the Text box icon.

  2. Add a text box to the first PowerPoint slide, starting from just beside the default text placeholder, and making it as wide as the title text box placeholder on the right side. (Refer to the graphic above).

  3. Note that the new text box has the new default font that you just created.

  4. Type the words "Type your text here". This will be used as placeholder text for the content of this Web page in the Web site.
