Rename Photo Files Created From PowerPoint Slides
Once you have completed a PowerPoint slide to photo conversion, you will note that all the new photos are named as Slide1.JPG, Slide2.JPG, and so on (or Slide1.PNG, Slide2.PNG as the case may be). These names are derived from the sequence as the slides were presented in PowerPoint.
You may run into a slight problem with the file names of the new photos, if you plan to show the photos (using another software program) in the same order as they were in the slide show. This is because a computer sees any numbers in file names in a different sequence than we would use them.
A computer will read the file names that contain the number 1 before a file name containing the number 2, as shown below.
- Slide1.JPG
- Slide10.JPG
- Slide11.JPG
- Slide12.JPG
- Slide13.JPG
- Slide14.JPG
- Slide15.JPG
- Slide16.JPG
- Slide17.JPG
- Slide18.JPG
- Slide19.JPG
- Slide2.JPG
- Slide20.JPG
- Slide21.JPG and so on
The good news is that you may not have to rename all the photo files, and this can be a quick task.
