Using AutoCorrect in PowerPoint
Friday April 4, 2008
The AutoCorrect feature in PowerPoint makes corrections to common misspellings and typos quickly and immediately. If you frequently misspell a certain word (I know I am forever transposing letters in words -- such as porject instead of project), then you can add this misspelling to the list of words you would like to be automatically corrected for you by the program. You will forget that you even normally misspell this word, because it will always show up correctly in your presentation.
Another neat way to use AutoCorrect is to quickly enter repetitive, lengthy phrases, such as a list of lawyer's names that you must type on every document. A few keystrokes and -- voila! -- the seven names on the company letterhead are now right there on your presentation.
