Why would you want to convert a Word document to PowerPoint? Well, maybe you only have a few minutes to dash off some topic headings and a few jot notes. By quickly writing these notes in a Word document, you have just created a presentation outline. Later, with a just a few clicks this outline can be converted to a PowerPoint presentation. Don't have access to Word? Well every computer and just about every cellphone these days has a text editor. You can do the same thing using a text editor to convert a topic list to PowerPoint.

And ... the reverse scenario is also possible. Once you have created a PowerPoint presentation, you can convert that PowerPoint presentation to a Word document. How neat is that?
