Enhance Your PowerPoint Presentations With Sounds or Narrations

Monday May 15, 2006
Sounds of all kinds can be added to enhance your PowerPoint presentations. Here are a just few suggestions -
  • You can add soft music to play in the background while you deliver your oral presentation.
  • Record your speech to embed in the presentation so that it can run unattended at a kiosk during a business trade show.
  • Record a sound to add a distinctive audio effect that may be important to the content of the presentation. For example - if your presentation is about auto repairs, it might be helpful to have a recording of a specific noise that would indicate a problem with the motor.
  • Sounds such as applause, from the Microsoft clip organizer, can be added to the final slide of a graduation slide show.
Perhaps these few suggestions will spark further ideas of how easy it is to enhance a PowerPoint presentation with a simple audio effect.
